版权部简介

版权部主要从事图书、期刊的版权贸易，包括版权引进、版权输出以及合作出版等 。

一、版权引进  一直以来，世图西安公司以引进医学经典图书及医学、生物、农业等学科的科技期刊见长，包含纸版、电子版、网络版等相关形式。截止目前，版权部已与美国、英国、德国、日本、俄罗斯、瑞士、加拿大、新加坡等国家和中国港台地区五十多家出版社（集团），以及医学、生物、农业专业学（协）会建立了合作关系，共引进翻译版医学经典图书近80部，重印版图书400多种；科技期刊1690种，合作出版期刊一种，翻译出版期刊7种。

1.      图书  与大型医学出版集团（社）Elsevier, LWW, Blackwell, McGraw-Hill, Springer, Thieme, Karger, Humana等合作，以引进医学经典著作及临床实用性图书为主，涉及内科、外科、妇产科、儿科、骨科、皮肤科、整形外科以及解剖学、药理学、影像学、分子医学、基因学、康复医学等基础学科及新兴学科。近几年，在口腔实用技术图书方面做了大量引进。翻译版图书方面最有代表性的当具医学界的圣经――《西氏内科学》，从其第19版开始引进，目前已持续做到了最新版――第23版。重印版图书的引进以基础学科与临床各专业并重，其中以《分子克隆》第3版最具影响力。

2.      期刊  以医学、生物及农业等学科的期刊重印、合作出版以及在线期刊为主。近几年，购权品种以每年100至200种的速度递增。合作的出版公司有Elsevier、 Blackwell、 Sage、 Thieme、 Karger、 Biosis、Urban & Fischer、Bentham Science Publishers Ltd、Librapharm Ltd、Radcliffe、 牛津大学出版社、Maney 出版公司、冷泉港、日本医学书院、John Wiley & Sons Inc.、英国自然出版集团、新加坡世界科技出版公司、加拿大BC Decker 出版公司等以及美国医学会、英国医学会、美国胸腔医师协会、美国临床肿瘤协会、美国癌症协会、美国健康系统药剂师协会、美国微生物协会、美国营养学会、美国临床科学家协会、美国内分泌学会、美国临床营养学会、美国神经外科协会、生物物理学会、皇家精神病学家学会、美国热带医学及卫生学会、美国白细胞生物学会、美国生理学会、美国免疫学家协会、美国公共卫生协会、加拿大研究协会、英国国际农业与生物科学中心、美国植物生物学家学会,俄罗斯作家协会等。

3.      与Elsevier合作出版世界临床医学《柳叶刀中文版》,翻译出版《世界核心医学期刊文摘》。

Rights Department

The main job for the rights department is the copyrights purchasing, copyrights selling and co-publishing for books and  periodicals .

1.      Copyrights purchasing. Xi’an World Publishing Corporation is specialized in purchasing the copyrights of medical classics and the periodicals of medicine, biology and agriculture. In the past more than ten years, we have established excellent relations with more than fifty publishers from USA,UK, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Canada, Singapore, China’s Hong Kong and China’s Taiwan region, as well as many associations(societies).We have purchased translation rights for 80 medical classics, reprinting rights for 400 books, 1690 periodicals ,as well as one co-publishing periodical and 7 translated periodicals so far.

（1）    Books.    Cooperated with large medical publishers such as Elsevier, LWW, Blackwell, McGraw-Hill, Springer, Thieme, Karger, CSHL Press, Humana and etc., Xi’anWPC concentrates its attention on purchasing the copyrights of medical classics and clinical practical books related in basic subjects and new subjects  such as medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, paediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, plastic surgery and anatomy, pharmacology , image, gene, rehabilitation medicine and etc..The most successful is <Cecil Textbook of Medicine>,for which we purchased the translation rights of 19th edition  and continued till it’s latest edition ,23rd edition.. While for the reprinting, <Molecular Cloning: A Laboratory Manual>3rd edition is the most effective. In the recent a few years, we also purchased a large number of copyrights for dentistry books.

（2）    Periodicals.    Based on medicine, biology and agriculture, Xi’an WPC has cooperated with many publishers in periodicals’ reprinting ,co-publishing and online as well. Those publishers are Elsevier, Blackwell, Sage, Thieme, Karger, Biosis, Urban & Fischer, Bentham Science Publishers Ltd, Librapharm Ltd, Redcliffe, OUP, Maney, CSHL Press, John Wiley & Sons Inc., NPG, World Scientific, BC Decker Inc., Igaku-shoin Ltd.and AMA,BMJ,ASM,CAB International, American College of Chest Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research Inc, American Society of Health-system Pharmacists, American Society for Nutritional Sciences, Association of Clinical Scientists, The Endocrine Society, American Society for Nutritional Sciences, American Society for Clinical Nutrition, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, The Biophysical Society, Royal College of Psychiatrists, American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, The Society for Leukocyte Biology, The American Physiological Society, The American Association of Immunologists, American Public Health Association, National Research Council of Canada, American Society for Plant Biologists，RAO and etc..

（3）    Co-published <World Clinical Medicine—The Lancet Chinese Edition> with Elsevier, translated <Digest of the World Core Medical Journals>.

2.Copyrights Selling   28 books have been sold so far.
